St Lucia Bowls Club held its “come and try bowls” day on Saturday 15 June 2019.
What a fabulous way to not only try a new sport, but enjoy the company of some really community-minded people. I met Ryjn, the new President, and was given the super tour by club stalwart Lloyd.
If you’re looking for a new way to enjoy the outdoors and meet new people, pop down to the club and say g’day!

Get on down to the recently upgraded Sir John Chandler Park in Long Pocket. This is possibly Brisbane’s hidden gem.
Sir John Chandler Park has all the facilities you could hope for:

* Toilets
* Boat ramp
* Dog off leash area
* Undercover picnic area
And… an amazing pirate ship playground!
